Default SH3 and Kraka - Boatshow 2006

Hi all

Im working on an article about SH3 and the real life sub Kraka.
Why is it that these 2 are related? Maybe because SH3 was used as the media to show Kraka in a virtual demostration

Heres some pics to get you started:

Kraka at the International Boatshow in Copenhagen 2006

Me and Kraka

On the side of the sub you can see a flatscreen that shows a video from inside SH3
As you can see there was a HUGE interrest in this sub!

A small video:

Looks nice, but what are the torpedo tubes for?
At least a lot better than the "white insect" looks of most commercial subs.
Is that a copy of the North Korean midget sub?

What the hell is something like that doing in the private sector? to run drugs and illegal immigrants? I can see these all over florida waters now....making runs to caribbean and cuba....this is just wonderful....does anyone know where I can learn how to construct makeshift depth charges that can be deployed from a 14ft skiboat? haha oh, and I will need asdic sonar equipment too.

What you can catch in your subnets offshore:

Those are not torpedo tubes..those are viewports for seeing out of.

Heres a link to some images of the sub under construction as well as some interior shots.

Wow, just wow. That looks like the coolest thing ever, love the diver's hatch at the bottom, I can imagine going diving in the caribbean from that thing. Here's another site, but these guys offer 'luxury' submarines:

http://www.ussubs.com/

Most of their subs are capable of 300m and I was just comparing the XXI's stats with USSubs' Phoenix 1000...omg(it is $70 million dollars, but common, it's almost as good as Germany's top u-boat of WW2).

Building submarines doesnt require super high technology.
AFAIK the "drug running midget" has been a reality serveral years ago allready.
I mean even North Korea can build submarines!

UC3?
Is that a replica of the UC class coastal minelaying U-Boat of WW1?

He has made some improvements to Kraka, so it now contains windows on the side for better view

It got a new paintjob and engine too...

Cool down Its only an AI unit. You will not be able to control it
Not more than you can a freighter anyway...

The way to use it is to make a mission with it as an AI unit,
