Default Newby (don't even havethe game yet)

Yes... I am a noob... but I will receive the game in a day or two. I will install the base, install 1.4b, use the SF cleaner, and Rub mod prior to running the gaem itself.

Just wanted to say hi, and that I appreciate the amount of active posts here on this game. I am a Noob on this game (obviously), but I did love "aces of the deep"... and having read what I have here, am sure I will love SH3.. especially with the Mod efforts that a few folks have invested their time & effort on.

While I may not be a prolific poster, I do read the forums I access, and do appreciate the posts of those trying to help the Noobs.

Regards,

CasperImproved

BTW, I used the "smug" smiley, since the standard smiley doesnt exist here

suggestion: Play a campaign with no mods before tweaking. Gives you a perspective.

Thanks Herr Dowley... I know I will enjoy the folks that are into these type Sims... I did 10 yrs in the Army, but "almost" did the nuclear program in the Navy until I thought about the 6 month requirement of "at sea" status in a Sub.... I think if the program included ships (above vs. below), I would have gone that route. Just too much of an issue of inclosed feelings... if you know what I mean :-)

Thatnks for the quick welcome.

Casper

Thanks for the idea which I will do. You are right... should test the pond prior to jumping into the lake :-)

I will do the 1.4b but not at Rub until I am worthy :-)

Thanks!

OK... you're new here so I will cut you some slack, while explaining why I have edited you're posts.

On these boards we don't talk about, hint at, suggest, discuss, use smoke signals, morse code, or use any other means of communication about hacks, cracks, warez or any other illegal modifications to Silent Hunter 3.

And those rules apply to private messages too.

Thanks

JCC

Good to see a new recruit into the Kreigsmarine, we need new blood more and more these days as we get later into the war. Our most veteran crews keep getting killed, er uh, they go into retirement exhausted from sinking so much allied tonnage!!

DON'T BUY IT!!!!

If you have a dog he will go hungry
If you have a wife she will divorce you
If you have a girlfriend she will leave you
If you need to eat you will go hungry
If you drink beer you will drink a lot of it
If you have a life you will lose it
If you have a job you will be fired
If your house is buring down you will ignore it to try and hunt down that latest contact
......

ENJOY

Too Late... I ordered/payed for it two days ago via the internot... I guess the wife, dogs, and cats will have to get used to me not being available due to my new addiction....
