Hi all
Does anyone which file corresponds to the overall performance of the homing torpedoes as I would like to try and tweak them down a little bit. I cant seem to find anything that might tweak the actual homing capability. Thanks in advance.

Why ? they aquire ther targets if they do 12knts usually DDs.
But belene you me homeing Torps don't always hit .I have fired them on ships doing 6-8knts and they hit them.Try it on something that's travelling at 32-36knts you will be lucky it goes for the target aquires it detects the sound of the engine and goes there 99.9% it has to come around and with that DD comeing down your xxxx what do you do? They are not 1 shot kill as some people make them out to be they do miss. All my subs from mid 43- war end have them. |

I wanted to see if the torps in the game could tell the difference between a Tanker doing 10 knots and a DD doing the same. Or did they just go for the "loudest" or "highest pitch"

The homing torpedos are not very efficient when firing to a circling DD @ 11 knts. If I'm desperate enough, I hit flank to attract the attention of the DD, in order to pick up speed.

Most of the time i set the depth to 5 on the scale for trash cans and the like ,and they explode under the middle of the ship instant kill.Mind you some times they tend to hit then rebound and just sit there.The magnetic detonator mite want tweeked a little bit.. :hmm:
