Default radio qualification to an officer

hi,

is there any reason to give an officer the radio qualification? since we can't put any officer in the radio room, I'm wondering why i'm able to do this.

could it be that having a radioman qualified officer in the command room benefit the radioroom efficiency?

same issue, different qualification: gunner and flak gunner. is it advantageous to give an officer those two traits and have them placed on watch when you man the guns?

Yes. In that case, the watch officer adds efficiency to the bridge, gun deck and flak gun positions. If he has the rating, it will greatly increase the efficiency of those spots even though the officer can't directly go there.

thanks for the answer

anyone know how that (gunner) efficiency is affected in game? i'm guessing maybe its reload times? or/and is it more along the lines on how the AI handles the gun. personally I can't handle the flak unless its those old slow propeller planes from the academy so I let the computer do it while I scan around with binoculaurs or just in F4 mode. OTOH the deck gun is a piece of cake (as many agree)

Gunner efficiency is affected in terms of both reload times and accuracy.
