Default Air mods

I picked up the airpower mod here a long time ago, does anyone know where i can get the latest version of it? Also, are there some other mods that affect how airpower works in the game?

NYGM AirMod is currently in closed beta stage and will be released in due time.

It'll be the definitive aircraft mod when it's done - if you can wait

Otherwise, RUb includes AirPower. There's no other related mods that I'm aware of.

CCIP where can i read about it. I never heard of it. Im sick and tired of encountering 100 damn planes when im rounding the shetlands. Its getting old, and unrealistic. Its 1940 and planes are attacking, sometimes with precision accuracy. Just got my aft torpedo tubes destroyed... arggg

Teddy Bar brought it up in a number of threads - mostly technical info so far. Kind of like this:

http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=48400

I'm sure he'll release a readme or even an open beta of the mod soon enough. I've been testing it, and it's very solid (and it's VERY hard to shoot anything down, too... even though flak gunners will now fire like mad if you ask them to!)

The main focus of the NYGM Aircraft Damage Mod is of the combat phase between the u-boat and aircraft.

Many may not be aware but there is also the response to you being sighted. So, if you get sighted by a ship, then this line here Enemy Air Strike Probability Increase on Player Detection= comes into play and you have a higher chance of getting detected as they are 'searching' for you.

So if you allow a ship, airplane etc to see you, then the chances of a aircraft sighting you increases. This is good, but it is somewhat broad and cumbersome.

Historically speaking, around the very coast of England the early war period of 1939/1940/41 is a very light on. It is easy to sail up and down the coast during the day. In this area the airbase network needs to be beefed up.

After looking into the LND files I have found that as of the 01/05/43 Black May LOTS of Large Airbases become active.

These airbases at times take over from a normal airbase or are new and have become active for the first time. The larger the base the more aircraft it can send.

Also, Jason11's Airpower Mod also has multiple large aircraft happening which makes for a greater amount of aircraft. RUB has far less multiple large aircraft. See my posts in the Mod forum.

NYGM Will be looking also at the Airbase issue.
