Default Base Question

When I was getting read to load my save from my 2nd patrol, it told me my base was changed to Kiel. And then during the loading screen, it still said my base was Wilhemshaven. Anyone know what the deal is?

:hmm: I get this or used to, what mods have you got running?

Seems this stopped for me when I went to IUb and SH3com 2.4.

Also I start every game session now using only Commander mod.

I'm using a lot of mods. So this isn't some normal base transfer? I can ignore if I know I should just keep my current base. I guess what I really need to know is do you keep the same base through the whole game until you ask for a transfer? Or do they sometimes automatically move you around?

Oh I think better I understand then the question maybe.

Yes you will remain at whatever base until your unit is transferred by date or you ask for a transfer.

In SH3Commander mod when you start a new career is a set of informational lines at the starting at the Flotilla option; next to the Flotilla block or space is a button that has historical information about the Flotilla, its commander/founder, a brief of unit and then a list of dates with location:

Ex:

1st Flotilla was Kiel then Brest.

But I used to see an in game bug that read every once in while of a transfer like Wilhelmshaven to Kiel etc... But that clears up on a restart.

BTW since my use of SH3Commander I have not seen this "bug" ever again.

Looks like it's fine now. Started a new patrol and it didn't happen.

Another reason this can happen is when you install a mod which changes the flottillas locations, and then load a previous save game. The game gets confused as your save game says your at base x flotilla y, yet the changed flottilla file says flottilla y is suppost to be at base z. So it will attempt to have you transfered to flottilla you belong to according to your save file and get you to move to its "new" location.
