Default Multiple map marks

I find that one of those little irritations with the navmap is that if you want to place a new line starting at the terminal point of a previous line, the cursor "picks up" the end point of the previous line. This has its uses, but most of the time, you just want to place a new line. The practical solution is obviously to start the new line just enough off the end of the old line that it does'nt pick it up.

It's not a big deal, but does anyone know if there's a way around this?

Are you talking about the plotting of a course? If so, you have to use the eraser to get rid of the previous (and unwanted) course line, and start a new one. I sometimes 'move' course points with the triangle to shorten (straighten) my distance to the end and lessen the travel time.
