Default Towns on the Nav Map

I see a town named Hartlepool no so far away. If I go there, what would I find?

I'm trying to sneak into Hartlepool right now. I have RUB and HT 1.47. So far I've seen two destroyers and a trawler protecting the harbor. I'm close enough that I can see the smoke from the buildings, but it's still too dark to make out any ships.

I'll report back tomorrow with what I find.

Or I'll post my obituary.

Ok so if I see a town, I can actually sneak into the port? What happens when you get there? Do you just get wasted?

One thing you can do is zoom in on the NavMap and see if there is a harbor there. If there is, with any luck there will be targets there, but there will probably also be destroyers. Skill, patience and luck are required.

Some of the listed towns don't show harbors on the map, just dots. I haven't been to one of those to see if there are any buildings there.

I don't know if you remember earlier but i mentioned that i will stay in the patrol zone for 24 hours and then go hunting by an enemy port. That is a common one to go to before your commanders start sending you to the western shores of england.

Be very quiet and careful while you are in that area of the port there will be a lot of traffic, especially destroyers. But with a little luck you can get some good tonage.

I won't go directly into the port but i will search the quadrant that the port is in. This is where i get most of my kills.

Towns / Ports on the Navigation map are like treasure chests full of renown, atleast for me they are.

If you go to some of the ports you will find buildings, docks, and usually docked ships, I dont think ive found a port yet that was completely empty. The key to attacking them is being silent and having a fully battery. Ususally there are Destroyers and or PT Boats out and about around the ports that you need to be carful of. If you charge your battery up before you sneak into one you should be able to stay under water for the time it takes for you to sneak into the port, attack and sink the ships, and then leave the port and get to a safe area to surface and recharge your batterys again. Youll want to keep and eye out for planes at that time too. Lastly, also watch out for subnets and mines!
