wasnt the ark royal first designed to be a helicopter carrying cruiser? god we really need those new carriers.

origionaly we wernt to have any aircraft carriers so the term through deck cruisers were adopted.
Invincible was to be sold to aussieland and ilustrious and ark royal who knows but thankfully falklands changed that.

Just had a read of the radio times and this program is infact about the WW2 Ark Royal, so will feature footage of the wreck and interviews with survivors. The wreck was only located in the last few years so I feel this will be the first time any wreck footage has been aired. If you have BBC4 then you will be able to watch further extended interviews from 9 PM straight after the program on BBC2 ends.
Seems my missus was not going to tell me about this one as it clashes with something but thanks to this post I found out. ![]()
