Default Lost My CD

will i need to buy myself a brand new copy of SH3 or is there a way to contact the company to re-emburse me or just give me a disc? This would be better than buying the whole she-bang. any suggestions? anyone else been in this situation?

please note that i have all the documents to prove that i have actually bought the product incase some people accuse me of 'warez'

ty,
Farside

I am afraid that even if your disc was scratched you would have to buy the lot again.

I seriously doubt you could get the company to re-emburse you for a lost disk.

I thought all companies would send you a new disk if you scratched/destroyed your last one, so long as you provide proof of purchase and pay the postage.
There might be something in the instruction book that mentions returns and broken CDs.

I'd like to be able to tell you that a corporation would gladly turn away from examining its quarterly charts and smile as it gives away another copy of a game that they don't care about anymore to a customer for free but we aren't living under socialism in one country. See companies often care more about $$$ than being nice to former customers. See once you buy it they couldn't care less. Even if some companies would give you a new CD I doubt this one will. Corporations are sociopathic. They don't give a flying frak. There's nothing in it for them. I dunno 'bout the rest of you guys but I've noticed a serious decline in customer service. Apparently that old axiom "the customer is always right" has gone out of vogue.

Of course they may send you a new CD, or so I think, but you may have to pay it full-price again, I think (again). :hmm:

So anyways....

It doesn't hurt to call the company and ask! You never know, they just might send you a new cd. I lost my Daggerfall cd a while back, and even though it's out of production, Bethesda actually burned me a copy! If you don't try, then you have zero chance.

If Gizzmoe wants to be politically correct, he should notify where the rest of the post has gone...

Edit: Splitted to http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=46987

As a consideration to other members of the board, he should also explain why he has decided to unfairly lock the topic, which bears no mention of anything illegal according to subsim rules and regulations.

"Thread hijacking". The discussion littered a thread. There is nothing to discuss anymore and the splitted topic "documents the case". If you have any further questions contact me via PM. If you have any technical questions (forums rules, PM policy) the "Comments to SUBSIM Review" forum is the best place, or ask a Moderator via PM.

That's naive, with all do respect, why would you deserve a reimbursement! Of course you have to buy the thing again.
