Default Timetravler's mini tweaker

How does one use the mini tweaker. After I load and change the file, what do I do with it? Are there any instructions available? I tried the search function on the forum but came up blank.

The Mini Tweeker has already made your changes. All you have to do is close the tool. In some cases, you should delete the backup files, which are located in the same folder that the real files are located. On that note, make sure to delete or remove all backup files from the Library folder.. Even if you rename them and leave them in the Library folder, SH3 sometimes recognizes them. It's better to just get rid of them completely.

Hi Mast,

It allows you to change thousands of individual game values, one by one. Stuff like sub speed, range, environmental stuff, sensors ranges, camera stuff, etc.

I been tryng to work on the ship sink vapor_hyd.wav so you can hear the ship going down and breaking up, we had a good one on SHII but
on SHIII it is very hard to hear, you need to be on top of the sinking
ship to hear it. You should be able to hear a sinking ship around 800
meters from your ship. Iam not good at any software work! having a hell
of a time

Ok, I 've downloaded the SHIII MiniTweaker as I want to add more shells for the deck gun on my IX/B. Yeah, you knew I'd get the Tweaker sooner or later didn't ya Marhkimov? LOL

Anyway, so I don't screw up the install.... do I "Browse" and point the install to SHIII's Main folder or install to it's own separate SHIII MiniTweaker folder?

Again, thanks! ~S!~

Hahahaha... Curiosity always does get the best of all of us. How do ya think I became a modder? It didn't happen overnight, I'll tell ya that...

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, I downloaded some of TimeTraveller's tools...... hehe, but that's a story for another time.

As long as you installed SH3 to its default location (Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\) you don't have to worry about this. The changes will automatically be placed into their correct locations.

One note though: after you change a file, make sure you delete/remove all of the backup files from the SH3 "Library" folder. Some of your changes won't take effect unless you do so.

Ok, thanks bud. I'll do the Library delete thing too.

I've learnt a lot in 5 years with this computer stuff, but not enough to do all the things I'd like to..... like mods. But I'm a learing, slow but sure. Which ain't too bad for an old man. LOL
