i installed the sky mod a few weeks ago, and ive been on relatively short patrols, since its only 1940 for my game. I play in real time, and it seems that whenever I leave port, and sail out to a mission, I never run into bad weather or clouds...usually its clear skys constantly. I'm launching from brest and am in the middle of a patrol, so I don't want to ajust anything just yet, but my question was: are clear skys normal for long periods of time, and when can I expect to see the weather from the screen shots i see on these forums. Also take note: 1) I am using Iub 1.02, sh3 commander, and 2) when I started a single player game once, the clouds did show up and looked amazing. If you need my machine info, which i don't think will be necessary its: 3.2 ghz p4, 110gb hd (dont remember bus), windows xp, ati radeon allinwonder 512 mb, sound blaster audigy 2 sound card, 1 gig ddr 3200 ram.

1) Don't panic (this is very important; most likely you are just experiencing a prolonged period of good luck weather)
2) AIL sky mods work just fine. As long as you installed it to the correct directory, you will see clouds when they are supposed to be there. 3) Make sure you read your other mod instrustions carefully in order to avoid conflicts between different mods.

Also you should note that IUB 1.02 already includes the AIL clouds...
Meaning downloading and installing them a second time will only be redundant.

I don't remember since which patch tho, I now see very few cloudy weather. Almost always either no cloud or overcast. It's not broken tho, since I did confirm there is a partially cloudy day. But it's very rare. I miss the beatuiful sunset.

Just a thought from an experience I had. If you added the sky mod DURING your campaign, it may have messed up the weather. I can't explain it, but one of the patches I added to a running campaign did the same thing to my weather (always clear skies and no wind). When I trashed the old campaign and started a new one, all was fine. If you are still in 1940, it may be an option for you to try too.

Wasn't that the savegame issue? Whenever you load a save, the weather pattern starts afresh, keeping the old weather- so when you were reaching the end of the time limit for certain weather in a patrol, and then save + quit, the next time you reload you will be faced with the same weather for the full duration of time again!
