Default Sorry for asking but.... resolution?

I have been away from these boards for quite awhile and after just getting my new pc I was wondering if there has been any resultion fixes for SH3?

I mean has there been anyone that has been playing it in higher than 1024x768?

Thanks in advance and have a Merry Christmas!!!!

Cheers,
Gian

You don´t need the no-DVD crack to use higher resolutions!

Just read this:

Cool, thanks

I got it to work and it looks amazing!!!!! I whish they would offer an official hi-res update and SLI support and dual core support.

I was checking it out yesterday and the perfomrance on 1280x1024 was good. Maybe a a jerk or two here and there but I was downloading something in the background and had my AV running aswell.

Anyway, so far so good.

Thanks, again.

No to install the mods, Where to begin and what is another question...

Cheers and a Happy new year!!!!

I went through 3 days of testing before I found that the "best" setting (zero jags and no studders) for my PC (AMD 3800+, 2 GB RAM, and ATI X800XT PE) was 1280x1024, with 4 AA and 4 AF.

Having a higher resolution resulted in "jags" because I had to lower the AA to raise the FPS back to the 24 FPS and above rule.

Leaving it on 1024x768 with 6 AA and 8 AF neither improved the quality of the video nor raised the FPS versus the 1280x1024 with 4 AA and 4 AF.

As a result, pick a certain mission, try several settings and mark down what your FPS are for each resolution and see what is best for you.
