Old DOS Game Problem

I got hold of an old DOS game circa 94/95. Tigers on the Prowl 2 to be exact.
It has the old security system where you have to go to page so and so and input a certain word out of the manual. The problem I'm having is that the random information (page and line) it gives to go to is gobbly guke and can't make it out.
PLEASE ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTION FROM PAGE #@# IN THE USER MANUAL.
Does anyone know of a font fix for it?
DOSBox and VDM don't work.
