Default Can I delete prior game saves?

I'm doing patrol number 2 now.

I went to the saved carreer page and, just prior to loading my current mid patrol saved game,I tried to delete the saved games from mid patrol during patrol number 1. I got the error message: "Deleting this game will delete all saves related with it, after this entry. Are you sure?"

What exactly does that mean? As I read it everyhing gets deleted? I can't delete it because it'll delete my patrol number 2 games which are after that entry?

???

That´s right! SH3´s save game system is terrible.

Worse than terrible. It means you cannot delete ANY saves.

Thanks for the reply anyway.

So now I have to know for future reference. Should you only delete saved games once you're finished with a career, or not bother at all? Does this consume a lot of hard disk space?
