I can't blame my gun crew for missing a few metres away in poor conditions with the sub being tossed about, but when I'm up close and it's calm weather, they still can't hit a barn door, scoring maybe one out of every 7 shots. I have one warrant officer with his marksman badge but maybe he's getting on a bit and refuses to accept that he needs glasses?

Try giving your watch officer a gunnery qual also. My WO (with this qual) and gunnery qualified petty officer are extremely accurate once they get ranged in (much more accurate than I am).

Thanks for the tip IRONxMORTLOCK, so if all three gunners are qualified P.O's and the W.O too, they should be deadly accurate?
Cheers ![]() |
