Hi all
Just an anoying problem i have been having, when on the surface during a storm with rain etc, my watch crew are just wearing their standard uniforms and not their wet-weather clothes.... now either my crew are a bunch of tough nuts that do not need wet-weatrher gear or there is a bug etc. This happens either during a stock mission or a generated mission using the mission editor. Now i have tried this without any mods installed and just using the patch 1.4b and the bug is still there. Has anyone else noticed this? many thanks Adam |

You really think the crew will just simply leave the bridge ??
You have to send them below, then they will change clothes. Leaving the bridge without permission could get them courtmartialed ! ![]() |

Yes, but anyway that silly bug when they dont wear raincoats after reloading a game with stormy weather lives on... Its of course minor but kills inmersion...
And I pity my watch crew when I see them in the rain with summer shirts :rotfl: |

Are you using the all weather guns mod or have you altered the sub files "storm conditions" modfier so that you can use the deck and flak in rough weather?

Because putting the raincoat on while on the bridge has too many disadvantages: A) They are focussing on putting on the rain coat instead of doing their lookout job. B) They will have to put on the rain coat on their already wet clothes. C) Putting on raincout in windy weather is very awkward. Therefore I use a much better system, the Watch Officer just sends them below after they are being releaved by a fresh lookout wearing a rain coat. Didn't they teach you this in u-boat school ? ![]() |

And once he's below, he STAYS THERE.
He's so good at lookout, he says he can see psychically through the hull! |

I exchange crewmen one at a time to get them outfitted.
I assume in real life foul weather gear was passed up as conditions deteriorated or bridge watch crew were releaved to get properly outfitted. Works this way in my experiences in the service and imagine it worked back in WWII U-boats as well. ![]()

well, a few replies but unfortunatley not one of these has helped me. even sending my crew below or changing them 1 by 1 has no effect what so ever.
thanks anyways guys |

Why to change them one by one? Just hit the "PD depth key" (P) and once the watch is below deck, surface. Much faster.

You can change his clothes using the crew screen,
sending one by one the tower crew to the sub for a clothes change. I do this sometimes but my crew is very brave and rough seamans, they can withstand a storm gale in the middle of the atlantic with summer clothes :rotfl:
