Help! Lost savegames...

Hello,

Yesterday I snuck into Scapa Flow to see how it looks, but couldn't get out - took me three reloads until I went out without being killed. Well, after that and a couple of sinkings, I saved and went to sleep - but now this morning, when I selected 'Saved campaigns', the game is not showing any of my saves....
The savegames do exist on my hard drive (my documents\something\SHIII\Saves\profile name\0\savename.*), but the game refuses to see them.

Maybe this is related to SH3 Commander, which I installed after saving (but I am not using it yet) ?

How can get back to my savegames ?
Or should I just start anew (well, dead *is* dead)

I'm not sure about this, but try booting up the game in stock form (i.e., without using Commander) and see if they're there.

I have to load the stock game to restart saved games if I get killed as Commander won't let me after exiting the game completely

And I recall that just prior to this happening I'd got myself depth charged to death then went back in and replayed from a safe save. Then it was like the next time I tried to play the saves for that career were not there.... makes me wonder if we're the only guys this had happened to?
