only place it seems to be recorded mid patrol is on the K screen (and then it's only the date the patrol started and the date of any sinkings---) bit confusing all round somtimes especailly with the date in the pre mission screen not allways being the actual date of the patrol

You can also find the date on the crew screen. It's up on the top right. You hardly notice it cause the crew and compartments are the focus of the screen. It's there though.

Put your mouse cursor on the little clock showing the time. Both date and time will be displayed in something like a tooltip.

![]() Interestingly, there are specific entries in the en_menu.txt that define the text displayed in the tooltip. These values are defined in the menu_1024_768.ini under the ToolTipText entry (last line in the example below). This is an example: Code:
[G3F I31] Name=&Periscope Type=1032;Button ItemID=0x3F020003 ParentID=0x3F020000 Pos=1,-44,40,41 Materials=4 Display=0;No stretch Mat 0=data/menu/gui/layout/Shortcuts.tga Crop 0=0.0078125,0.169922,1,1 Mat 1=data/menu/gui/layout/Shortcuts.tga Crop 1=0.0078125,0.169922,1,1 Mat 2=data/menu/gui/layout/Shortcuts.tga Crop 2=0.0078125,0.169922,1,1 Mat 3=data/menu/gui/layout/Shortcuts.tga Crop 3=0.0078125,0.169922,1,1 MatFlags=0x1 TexFmt=0x9 Font=1 TextFlags=0x0 StatesColors=0xB0B0B0FF, 0xFF, 0xFFFFFFFF, 0xFFFFFFFF ToolTipText=2712 |
