Good sense from a foreigner and a religious person... why does it take somebody like this to point out what should be obvious, I wonder?

My thoughts exactly.

Thing is the the PC apologists hijacked the whole thing.

As someone who is essentially English it is hard to say what being English said, and I do agree there does seem to be an embarrassement to admit and be proud of it. If you stand up and say I'm proud to be English you risk getting looked at as if you are a member of the BNP or National Front.

As a non-Brit living in Britain it seems like the BNP/Nationalist Front have hijacked the flag. Another stupid example of politically correct rubbish. Get over it and be proud of your British/English identity!
