Default Playing on a LAN with only one game

I've been thinking about this for a long time and finally I tried it yesterday (since I had a day at home - alone).

I booted up the game on my laptop and selected the "multiple player" option. I followed the instructions and set myself up as the host. Then I took the disk out and rolled across the room to my desktop and booted the game up there, selecting the "multiple player" option as well. This time I was "joining the game". VIOLA! I had a multi-player game going. And it worked. Only problem was, with me as the only captain, my other boat was sunk in short order while I was trying to set up for a kill with boat #2. I was rolling my chair back and forth between the two computers trying to get them both ready for shots and thinking (both at the same time), "hey, this is cool", and "boy, this sucks".

So, if you can find someone to take up the slack as Captain #2, and you've got a LAN handy, give this a try.

My wife and I have gone head to head with Blackhawk Down in the "deathmatch'" on our LAN, but she's not about to get involved in this (almost her exact words - ha).
