Default questions regarding the cloning with Pack 3D

now i m at the point that if created a file of the Illustrous which i called NCV_ArkRoyal and copied it in the Sea folder i changed the name in the cgf of the File in the Sea folder and did the same with the cgf in the roaster. then i went to pack 3d and searched for the folder which was there i opend it hit the clone botton and pack 3d told me : cloning of... but nothing happend for 5 min.
I did a mission with the new model but had an immidiat CTD after starting SH III also the mission editor showed it with the correct name and did not tell me of any problems with the libary of SH III . So do u know what i am wrong ?? my SH3 is now stock one patched 1.4b.

Can you say me a list of the names of all files with you work? Originals and new names.

If the pack3d don't finalice her work then the clone no is valid.

I work with the folder of the actually ship which i want to change so i firstefull copy it eg. the small merchant is labeld as KSs_ so i changed al names in the folder to KSt_ than i copied the cfg in the roaster and renmed it to KSt_ . After that i edited the cfg in the roaster and then that in the units folder by changing the classes name to KSt_ as last step i edited the englishnames cfg and germannames cfg to have new class inside . i did all those steps using the explorer . than i started pack 3d and looked for the new KSt_ folder from which i fetched the *.dat file. when it was loaded in pack 3d i hit the clone funkton than after about 20 sec pack 3d stoped with the messages cloning *.cam and did not go on to tell me it has finished the cloning or sth like that. later i took the *.dat and used the export all. it created the 3d folder in which i could edit using Wings 3D after importing those files back to the 3d.folder only the bridge and the funnel where changed by me . i wanted to start SH III only to see the game crashing just at one third of the loading screen. than icopied thechanged folders and files to a folder outside SH III directory and the game starts again with no problem...

Did you make any changes to the unit type? If you did, you will need to keep the files consistent. For instance, dry cargo merchants are 102, so this number must be included in the data\roster\[nation]\[unit].cfg and data\sea\[unit].cfg.
