Schloss Martha, was it a real place?

Amethysts by Frank Delaney a cracking book about an Architect who searched for the killers of his girlfriend (who he met in the previous book) who are Nazis trying to keep a secret.

Anyway the whole story revolves around a place called Schloss Martha which if I remember correctly Frank Delaney said in a forward existed. I can't find any info on the place at all.

In the book he definately wrote that the place where cruel experiments Jews were carried out existed and was discovered by the US Army during the allied liberation and all documents taken away and destroyed.

Is there truth in this? Did this place exist? If anyone has read the book and can make things clearer please post.
