Default SH3 Commander PROBLEM!!

So I start up a new career... 11th Flotilla, Bergen. Even though Commander says it was first created in May or March that month, Commander ALSO says that from 01.01.42 till the end of the war, they serve in Bergen. So I choose January as starting month, and go about the first patrol for 24 days like normal...
Then I start up another mission through Commander, and get the "Base was switched to: Brest".
DOUBLE YOU TEE EFF?!
I go back to the Commander screen, and see I am now in FIRST FLOTILLA! ARRRRGH!
Help me out!!

To ask the bleeding obvious - when SH3 loaded and you started your new career, you *did* select the same year and Flotilla that you entered in SH3Cmdr?

I managed to find out what must have happened.. And of course it was MY fault. Argh.

When you change the starting MONTH - after year and flotilla - in Commander, the flotilla is rolled back to first. When you then enter 11th Flotilla in SH3, things go awry.

So, I am to blame, but I bellieve this could be a nice bug to address!

It's intended - the reason it acts as it does is because every time you change a year or month, SH3Cmdr needs to determine what flotillas are available for selection. Some come, some go, so it needs to rebuild the list each time. Whilst keeping your flotilla selection highlighted for as long as the flotilla is available is easily possible, it makes it even more likely that you will miss it if the flotilla disappears from the list.

You will notice that SH3 acts the same way, so, for consistency...hehe...

1st Flotilla didn't operate their first Type VII until about April 1941. SH3 Commander makes the Type VII available at its correct historical date (or as close as the game engine will allow).
