Help! My realism options are locked. (Resolved.)

After recently re-installing SH3 and re-patching, I started a new career and found my realism options were locked to maximum realism and I could not change them.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and could they help me change it?

You could try changing the Gameplay settings found in your My Documents/SH3/data/cfg folder, might also have to make the same changes in the same folder where SH3 is installed /data/cfg/Gameplayer settings etc.,

Problem solved. It turned out the reason my options were locked is because when I repatched it the patch was not installing properly. Got it installed properly and now everything is working just fine.
