ok, i've tried to install rub 1.43 with no success and now i've tried to install 1.44 2 times with no success.
please some1 explain very slowly the steps i need to take to get 1.44 working. do i need to?- 1. install sh3 2. install patch 1.4 3. install jsgme where do i install jsgme? /programfiles/ubisoft/sh3/ ? or- /programfiles/ubisoft/ ? or- /programfiles/ubisoft/sh3/data/ ? where do i install rub 1.44 ? according to the jsgme help text it says- "copy jsgme.exe to you sh3 root folder and run once" what is the root folder? /programfiles/ubisoft/sh3 ? then it says - "after downloading mods, unzip them into a sub- folder under the mods folder" where should this mod folder be? /programfiles/ubisoft/sh3 ? or /programfiles/ubisoft/sh3/data ? also is rub 1.44 considered a mod and therefore be unzipped into the mods subfolder? damn, this is hurting my brain. thanks for the help. |

You need SH3 patched to the latest 1.4 patch.
Let's start calling the folder wherein your sh3.exe is the 'root' folder. For me it is 'D:\Programme\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\' 1. copy the JSGME.exe to the root folder. 2. create a directory named 'MODS' in the root folder. 3. unzip the RUB 1.44 somewhere, but not to the root folder 4. look what you've unzipped, you see 'instructions.txt' and a folder named 'Rub1.44' which contains several maps and a 'data' folder 5. copy this Rub1.44 folder to the MODS folder created in step 2 6. start JSGME.exe from the root folder and enable the mod (a window pops up and it's clickedy-click from there) Hope this helps and i got it right from my brain cells ;-) |
