Default U-53: 2nd Patrol

U-53's 2nd Patrol so far has yielded no results. And to make matters worse, a crewman before the patrol was due to begin was arrested for drunken disorderly behaviour, so I had to replace him.

He disgraces U-53's good name with his drunken behaviour, not befitting a U-boat sailor.

I've been doing a "dive and listen" technique every 6 hours or so game time, and haven't heard a thing, and haven't seen a thing. U-53 is assigned to patrol grid AN11, just NW of Scapa Flow.

If I haven't found anything by the time my 24 hours are up, I'll do the usual: Cut down through the Irish sea (bound to be ships there to sink) and back through the English channel to Kiel. :P

I'll update this with news of ship sinkings as they've happend.

NOTE: Perhaps when the British hear that U-53 is on the prowl, all ships refuse to leave their berths in harbour

Young boys (because that is what they were) on their last night on land before heading off to sea for an extended time (perhaps forever). Of course they will get plastered. People of the sea are the same the world over ever since the dawn of seafaring.

i'm sure they were. but damn him now, i'm happy to let him sweat in prison for a few days, then get shipped onto another boat.

I run a hard boat, and expect my men to behave accordingly. Enjoying themselves is fine, but to the point of insubordination and arrest......there's no room on my boat for any such sailor. I won't have them.
