I just traded in my IIA sub for a large one, and noticed I had another pointy stick attached to my bridge - the Observation Periscope. What purpose does this thing serve, and how do I use it?
F1 help says you can move it with Insert/Delete but thats about it.. |

The observation scope has a bigger head allowing for better "light transmission"
Its zoom might not be as powerful as the attack scope, but it has a larger field of vision, and its ability to tilt to higher angles make it invaluble for scanning the skies above for aircraft before surfacing. |

The "O" key will bring you to the observation periscope, and you can move it with the ins and del keys.
