Ok, i'm on my fifth patrol so far in my wee IIA sub. My patrol square was AN16 which happens to be Scapa Flow, so I decided to sneak into port and see what was moored up ripe for the killing. However i wasn't counting on all those destroyers patroling the bloody place. So now that i'm finally in I only have 1 torpedo left, i'm out of flak (as if flak helps against Battleship :P ) and obviously no deck gun. I need to kill a Battleship (Revenge) with it, the SH3 Wiki says this is possible, and also lists its weakspots. It doesn't however, list what torpedo settings are best against Battleship. I assume impact is best, but what dept?
If anyone has ever 1 shotted a Battleship before please clue me in ![]() |

calm waters.... I'd say magnetic and right at keel depth near the fuel or ammo areas
rough waters... I'd go with impact and slightly (~.5m) above keel depth or take your chances by aiming directly at the fuel/ammo areas with impact -- just my 2 cents ![]() |

What is the sea state?
Position yourself 350m away from the battleship, and put a torpedo directly under a turret somewhere, to aim for ammo bunkers. After having fired, SURFACE AND GO FLANK AND WHAM THE KABAM HAHHAHAA! ![]() |

And yeah, I got him with impact. Made sure I was dead 90 degrees off his bow then used freeview + draft to figure out where to hit (ended up with 4.8m orso) And I bought a VII too.. big subs take a while to get used to. Kinda makes me wish the germans kept on building smaller models throughout the years, IIA and IID are lots of fun to use. 1 well placed dept charge and you're history ![]() |
