Default Damn saved game structure bites again!!

Curses!!!

Had just finished an excellent patrol....a whole month wandering around grids be13-be15 with only a few lone ships. It was Nov. 1939, so sailed up between England and Ireland, sinking a destroyer and large cargo on the way to Loch Ewe.

Snuck it at periscope depth going 1/3 ahead, to within 500m of the parked Nelson Battleship on a grey morning...managed to sink her with my last three torpedoes, then spent the next few hours inching back out to sea under silent running. Made it!!

Then made it back to base, with only one airplane to dodge. Promotions and medals all around - great! Looking forward to my next patrol with my increasingly experienced crew...but I was foolish enough to attempt to delete an old save game, and clicked through the warning (as you do) ....and lost the whole bally lot.

Why, oh why, Ubi???? It's almost as sad as the ending of Das Boot i.e. all for naught.
