I use RUb 1.43 and SHCommander2 now. I'm going to install RUb 1.44/SH3Commander2 now. How to do it safely, without destroying my existing career (I'm in port now, after patrol)?
1. Save cereer 2. Rollback SH3 by SH3Commander2 3. Delete SHCommander2 4. Disable RUb 1.43 by jsgme and delete it 5. Install RUb 1.44 and enable by jsgme 6. Install SH3Commander2 7. Play via SH3Commander2 Is it good way? |

2. Correct. This is *always* a good practice before modifying game files, either by JSGME or manually. 3. Nup - not needed. A Rollback is sufficient. Performing a Rollback removes all SH3 Commander files from SH3, returning it to its pre-SH3 Commander state. 4. Correct. 5. Correct. 6. See #3. 7. Correct. Just as Fangschuss said. ![]() |

JScones, do you recommend rollback before applying any mods via jsgme?

![]() Whenever I finish up in SH3 I go straight back into SH3Cmdr and perform a rollback. But I'm prolly a bit compulsive in this regard. Mind you, in 7 months of playing SH3 I haven't had one CTD or game problem (touch wood). |

It seems to me that SH3 Commander 2.1 overwrites some of RUB 1.44 german text corrections.
For example: RUB 1.44 corrected the NA to Obersteuermann. If I play SH3 with RUB and without Commander 2.1 I see reports from "Obersteuermann". If I launch via Commander 2.1 it's back to NA again. (There were several other german text corrections made in RUB which do not appear via Commander 2.1). is it possible to make them compatible or did I made an error here? |

This change keeps all the good stuff in SH3 Commander, it also keeps any good stuff that's in the *menu.txt files that you were using before using SH3 Commander, plus it saves a bunch of megabytes in terms of the SH3 Commander download.

You need the standard version of the scene.dat file.
