I tried to add an alpha channel to flags, with the intention to check if posible add the Sweden, Norway and Finland navy flags, aswell to make them a little more transparent as real flags are.
But not posible ![]() |

There are a posibility to modify the transparency of the texture of a object. The valours are in the chunck type 2 before the chunk of the texture, i thinks that its posible to make this with a flag....

If an Alpha channel is used on a flag, the flag in game shows up as a black flag. The Flag mod thats around has Alpha channel's on about 70% of its flags. I had to remove the Alpha channel for them to show correctly.

Hmm, then is posible to do something like this:
![]() (Image from http://www.warship.get.net.pl ) For this a black&white alpha is enough, but for transparences a grayscale one will be needed. Yes Gibs it make a black area where the alpha is painted. Sansal that can be very interesting, it can be used to make glass :hmm: |

You can work with the 3d model of the flag. They are in data/library/flag.dat and flagS.dat. I can export the .obj with Pack3D, remake it and import it.

It's not possible to destroy the flags when the ship sink? Or this issue is in the zones.cfg file? Rubini. |

Sansal, I was studing on them but is quite confusing, each nation folder have several flags wich repeat each other, and there are two dat files, flag.dat and flags.dat, whats the difference?.
Also, how transparence can be applied to the flags? |

For your Norwergian flag
![]() It's a little complex, i think. You need to do two things. 1.- Insert a new 3d flag with the name of Norwe_FLG:
2.- Change the rectangle for the Norwe_FLG 3D :
I can't do all this job for you because i have problems with my XP SP2. A Trojan take my pc three days ago and all is a problem with my pc. But i think that is a excelent exercice for you ![]() Cheers P.S. The byte that change the transperency of a object is just before of the id of the chunk type 2. Ever is FF (255 in decimal), for the crystal texture of my example i use the 65 valour. |

What about add a navy flag to Norway?, it will have 2, the current one for civil and the new one for navy.
I can do the same with Sweden and Finland (when available) |
