Surrender and SH3 Commander

I didn't install the las version of SH3 Commander, and I'm at work anyway...

I was just wondering what happens if you surrender during a mission. Does it reflects in your career resume ?

Apparently, if you're on the surface and detected, if you click Exit Game there's a popup window asking if you want to surrender. Never tried it myself but I've read a thread about this in the Silent Hunter III forum.

I don't think it is something new to SH3Cmdr. It is in the basic game but, is only available in the single missions....... so far
