Can someone please point me to a good reference for attacking convoys? It's November 1940, I am attacking convoys and all of a sudden I have 4 destroyers banging away at me with really good accuracy.
I sat quietly to the side and waited for the convoy to glide by in the dark. I unloaded all 4 torpedoes on the tanker...clunk clunk clunk...boom not enough damage. Destroyers kill me every time Help Das Kaptain ![]()

I try to hit at least 1 merchant so it goes dead in the water.
Then I hide under it. The DD's won't get too close or drop DCs very near the merchant. Then just wait it out till they leave and then sink the merchant..... JIM

I found a thread in the forums that suggest coming in from behind. That gives you a much smaller target to hit...isn't it easier to hit from the side? I never seem to get hits directly head on or from direct behind.
