Default Skins & news: new subVII + guns ready

But, you have to work a little ..Heuuu! Yes, it must ! You need !

Take the tga file: NSS_Uboat7c_deck
Well, used this file and created 5 same tga with these names:
Turm7c_1_deck
Turm7c_2_deck
Turm7c_3_deck
Turm7c_4_deck
Turm7c_5_deck

That's all ! Tired ? Dont ask me why Ubibugs used in total these 6 same files ...But, we could have a turnover with 6 different decks.
If you dont like the sub's colors, and want only the guns textures, keep only these 3 files:
UFlak_High
Typ 21_20mm_UFlak
NSS_Uboat7c_deck_gun

All files have been modified by real textures

Great skins Pascal!
I compared the sub skin with the ones from K. Kumm. They were the best so far to me, but now i have a new favorite! Keep up the good work.
Looking forward to test the new skins in game soon. Unfortunately i´m type IX user, so it will be only in singel mission.

So we´ve come to the core message of this posting
Could you give the type IX boat some attention (retexturing)
There´re lots of type VII skins out now, but only a few type IX. The stock textures sure have some optimisation potential.

You did great work so far monsieur Pascal, i use most of your mods for my game. i´ve created a modpack exclusively for your stuff for better oversight. It´s frequently updated. All your work is in there exept the officer icons which i don´t like. I use the ones from C. America.
If someone is interested and You agree, Pascal i could uplad it on rapidshare.

Pascal, i´ve noticed a small issue: The dials at bridgeview are misplaced:

And i´ve a question:
Why are the files

NSS_Uboat7c_hull.tga
UFlak_High.tga

are in the root folder and not in the /data/.../tex folder?

Edit: I just noticed that misplacement bug is also present in the stock game.
Can anyone confirm this. My game is modded like hell, maybe it´s another mod causing this at my setup.
Sorry Pascal, your work is alright!

edit: i did a test with the vanilla game, that misplaced compass is
there too. I´m not a type 7 skipper, so i didn´t noticed this so far.
Can this be fixed?

Pascal, I've one remark for you. Your mods are outstanding, but you should group them on your sites - it's rather difficult to find them all there (one is on your French site, another on Japan).
Keep your good work!
PS. When will you create textures for type II, IX and XXI?

Hello Pascal! Again big thank's for nice work
Just one thing that is wrong, and its the right compass-wheel in the file: "NSS_Uboat7c_deck".
For the compass to show right, "180" should be in the top. I think in fact this is a bug in stock-game. This I noticed when I did my "Improved deck compass mod!
If this is not changed, the deck-compass will show 180 degrees wrong!

Small thing, but I just wanted you to know!

It's not a little thing; but the compass, it is the big one or the small with grey circle in the middle ?
( what a sailor i do ! )

Thank you, yes of course. That's a good idea to make a modpack; yes, i changed files often; it's because i'm rarely glad about my work and try to improve.

It's the small with the grey circle in the middle.
The thing is that the files "Turm7c_1_deck", "Turm7c_2_deck", "Turm7c_3_deck", "Turm7c_4_deck, "Turm7c_5_deck" also has to be altered. Otherwise it can show the old and wrong compass randomly (my experience). The easy way is to fix the "NSS_Uboat7c_deck" and then just copy that file 5 times and rename them "Turm7c_1_deck".. -5.

Or you can use my mod (Improved deck compass mod) and the work is already done for the deck!

You find my mod on Terrapin's site http://u-boot.realsimulation.com/

Best to you
/Rulle
