Default T2 question

In the stock game (game without any patches) it was said that the range of the T2 torpedo (G7e) was too short when compared to real life (something like 1800m vs 5000m). A mod was made that extended the range to a realistic level.
Was this fixed in patch 1.4b, or do I still need to apply the T2 range mod?

I think the reason its changed is so its in proportion to the view distance of the horizon.

The view distance is curbed so your computer doesnt implode, and the torpedoes i assumed are curbed to fit this.

I think there were some mods made that fixed this issue..not sure.

Maybe someone will be able to point you in the right direction for it.

Zero Niner, patch v1.4b extended the range of TII's to about 3000-meters, but still not the correct range of 5000m.

There's a small patch to fix the range, at Terrapin's site (http://U-Boot.RealSimulation.com) in the SH3 Mods 'general-section'. The filename is: T2RangeMod.rar

It's an older mod but works fine with SH3 v1.4b

The mod is setup to auto-install the torpedo fix (file: torpedo.sim) to your SH3 folder. I think it's better to backup the v1.4b torpedo.sim file 1st, extract the mod to a desktop-folder, then install by hand.

The mod's file date is before the April 25 date on my 1.4b patched version of the game. According the the patch readme, this was corrected in patch 1.3

Here's what torpedo ranges are supposed to be.

What are they set for in the game's SIM file?
