....that U-108 (IXB) has been lost at sea with all hands in may 1942, off the coast of USA

Apparently the skipper thought that he was finally out of the range of those pesky Catalinas - Aber Nein! He did put up a good fight, downing one of the Catalinas earlier, but the last one appeared after a long pause and so the skipper thought it was all right to go to TC 128

Well, dead is dead. Too bad about my crew, they were good men all well trained.
