I was browsing through a bunch of mods, deciding what I'd like to try next when I came across a couple that add extra units into the game. Extra ship types (both naval and merchant), and extra aircraft types. This sounds great but I'd just like I'm concerned that installing them may overwrite other types of ships or cause weirdness with convoy composition or random ship selection. I'd hate to have a new ship replace a standard one, or to have a convoy full of new vessels that dont have proper pathing, such as a new heavy cargo ship that doesnt know how to move and so doesnt, or that gets assigned a much smaller vessels characteristics, therby moving and acting as, say an elco.
Are these concerns well founded, or is adding new units a simple and straight forward thing, resulting in nothing but happiness, bliss and an enriched life? |
