I haven't reached the point yet in my campaign where the snorkel is available. I was wondering if anyone knows what I would need to adjust in my cfg for career and career_0 to let me use it? or even the decoys, would like to see those as well. I know it is cheating but I just want to see them and I don't really want to wait until they are actually available.

.......... Not sure how to do that to be honest .. I just looked my config files and didn't see a reference to either the snorkle nor decoys ............

You " should " get Bold 1 decoys by patrol number 9 if I remember correctly ... The snorkle will come much later of course ... around 1941 or '42 ( don't rmember ) .... snorkle is just used to re charge your batteries while submerged as you probably know... works ok if you go at 1/3 speed or slower so as not to make a visible wake that air craft can spot too easily ...........

edit : ok I found one reference to decoys .... do this at your own risk of messing up your game however ....

go to :

C:\Documents and Settings\***\My Documents\SH3\data\cfg

*** = your computer name

find the " playersettings.cfg " in that folder and open in like notepad .... the line you want to edit is :

BLD ..... mine says BLD=BoldType4 ... right now yours probably says BDL=NULL

remember... when you deploy decoys they don't last very long and you need to go slow enough for the destoyer looking for you to hear the decoy and not you ............

Cheat away, I did to for testing.

The main cfg can be changed to get snorkel earlier, then start a new patrol.

Or upon reload, the saved careers.cfg, or careers_0.cfg (the last one) look to do this and change to get an instant Snorkel upon reload. Maybe, not tested.
