Yep, not much in ports in '44 and '45.

That doesn't surprise me. For most of the war you'll need to manually add ships to Scapa Flow with the mission builder if you want to see anything worth sinking. Try giving them less than 100% chances of spawning so that it doesn't become totally predictable.

I just visited there after installing RUb 1.43 and my type II sailing from Kiel....

.... ran into a whole sub hunter-killer group of 2x DD, 1x corvette and a light cruiser...

It was late September 1939.

I kept end-on to them to keep my ASDIC profile low and thanked God for the big waves... nearly ran my batteries dry running silent to get away. It took about 4 hours.

The game seems a bit defficient with regards to this. It's so eerie to sail into a harbor that's practically deserted, especially if it was historically a major base like Scapa Flow. I have a book with a photo of the anchorage there, and it was literally crammed with major warships, from 3-stack cruisers to a Nelson/Rodney battleship.

roger iambecomelife I concur. Apparently some harbor content will need to be scripted there.

I know Rubini is working as hard and as fast as he can populating the more famous areas.... but its a BIIIIIIG place, the Atlantic.

The RUb Mod version 1.43 includes an OPS mod that put SCORES of new ports, airbases, and cities on the map.

BTW iambecomelife, I love your smoke mod and still use it! Thanks!

What is the OPS mod? I've been adding new harbours/ports & cities, if someone else is doing it I may as well stop, or there will be lots of conflicts when people script missions etc.

It's in the Ops Mod which was released in RuB 1.43. You can see the cities in the LND layer and whatever the associated files are that go with that.

I think you have to download RuB1.43 to see what's up, though, unless someone working on that wants to explain what's been done so far.
