Can you get me up to speed with SCII and SCIIx?

Who invented SCII? And having installed the stock version, what steps do I follow to upgrade to SCII? What exactly is SCII is it a patch or a mod?

This is a 'must have' for SC.

Many more realistic features were introduced including a greater degree of torpedo control.
The latest version incorporated SCU a sub changing facility which lets you dive many dufferent sub types.

The community has produced a huge range of Campaigns and missions most of which are on Bills (SubGuru) site.

If you are serious about diving this is an ace.
