Default Original uniforms for RUb 1.43

I have decided that I like the original uniforms and hair color of my crew versus the changes made in RUb 1.43. Can someone tell me what files I can copy over to get the original settings back?

Thanks!

Mr. Hill before you do that, try Pascal's new faces and uniforms mods... and binocular mods as well.

They are available at [U-Boot.RealSimulation.com] well worth registering for
(free downloads and no registration fee apart from donation if you like)

There is also a goldmine of other downloadable mods there.... kinda like swimming in free money![/url]

I fully agree with Kpt.Lehmann, Pascals uniformmod is really great. But do you have the original files somewhere but don't know wich ones to copy back? Is that what you mean?

In that case if you have a "clean install" of SH 3 1.4b, then copy the folders "Casket" and "Body" in the directory data\Crew and paste them in the same directory in the same folder where you have your game installed; i.e Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Crew. When promped to overwrite, click "yes to all" and you should have your stock game uniforms back.

(I hope this was right :hmm: )

Good luck

Hi!

I would start with the "readme" for RUb 1.43 and look for the files associated with the feature you wish to remove. In this case, the readme indicates there are several files that were modified to change the uniforms (although rulle34 has indicated above there may be more):
  • in the folder data\Crew\Body\Body01\OFF_TGA\[list:6159d06bb7]
    01_OFF_Body01_D.tga
    02_OFF_Body01_D.tga
    03_OFF_Body01_D.tga
    04_OFF_Body01_D.tga
in the folder data\Crew\Body\Body01\POS_TGA
  • 03_OFF_Body01_D.tga
    04_OFF_Body01_D.tga
[/list:u:6159d06bb7]
In this case I think you have a couple of option:
  • - If you backed up your SH3 installation before you installed RUb, you can just restore these files to their original locations.
    - If you used the Jonesoft Generic Mod Enabler (JSGME, highly recommended and available here), you can:[list:6159d06bb7]- find the backed-up files in the MODS/!BACKUP folder tree
    - copy them to a temporary location
    - delete the longer JSGME-supplied extension
    - copy them back to their original locations and overwrite RUb.
[/list:u:6159d06bb7]
If all else fails, you will need to re-install SH3 and the V1.4 patch. At that point you have a few options:
  • - Backup your entire SH3 directory, so if you can return to the stock version more quickly if you find more RUb features you don't like.
    - Copy the folders rulle34 suggested, and then copy them back in
    - Install JSGME, and create your own "detox" mod from the files you know you will use to overwrite RUb.
Once you are prepared to restore the original files, proceed to install RUb and then restore the original files as desired.

Hope this helps!

May I ask what Pascal's uniform mod is listed as?

Is it Uniformmod V.2?

Thanks

I'd check that out, but for some reason Realsim is not recognising my registered account!

One of those days again.
