I've got my system up and running and so far everything is fine except for a weird little graphics glitch on the crew managememt screen. When I first start SH3, the icons for crew and their specialties look fine but once I save the patrol and reload it, some of the graphics look blocky. The "S" for Sonar/Radar operator, the "Gear" for machinists, and the regular seaman icons are effected but not everywhere. One "S" in the communications room is glitched, the machinist icon in the diesel compartment, and the crewmen in the diesel and aft bunk compartments show these anomalies.
Any other 7800 owners care to report their findings? scrapser |

I'll keep my eyes open for any problesm, but so far I have not noticed any.
Apart from getting the game to play initially, but that was down to the logo and intro movies. |

Just quickly played a game.
No problem with the icons. Currently using the improved bow waves mod and noticed some issues with the bow wave of my boat but that cleared up. Hope this is of some help. |

Did you try saving the patrol in mission, then returning to it? That's when my glitch shows up.

Ok. I forgot to also ask what driver version you are using. I'm using 7.7.7.2 which is the latest from nVidia. I have the earlier version that came with the graphics card and will give that a try after hearing what version you have. It could be the problem (let's hope).

Well I got my new computer last week from Evesham Ltd.
Ran the Gameshadow progam on Friday and it stated I had the latest drivers then. Where does one find the details of the driver version on a computer and I will look it up for you. |

I'm assuming you have WinXP. Click Start...Control Panel...Performance and Maintenance...System...(you should then see a dialog box with tab pages). Next click the "Hardware" tab and click on the Device Manager button there. You will get a list of your hardware. Look under Display Adapter and right click on your GeForce card to get to the properties and look at the driver tab page. That will show you your driver and version.
I have WinXP Pro...WinXP Home might have a slightly different path but it's basically the same. scrapser |

You can also get the driver version (with Nvidia cards) by right clicking on a blank area of the desktop, picking Properties, picking Settings on the tabbed pages that come up, and pressing the Advanced button. Look for the page with the name of your Vid Card on it, you'll spot the Driver version there. Handy as well, cause that's where you can change a lot of settings for your card, as well.

Yup, I got the same problem. I updated to the latest drivers and the glitch is still there. ![]() Thing is, SH3 was not optimized to run well with NVidia cards. ![]() ![]()

Believe it or not, I can't figure out how to get my FPS. I searched the board but there's nothing out there, not even in the stickies. The manual doesn't say either so I guess you'll have to clue me in.
