Just a quick note to announce that Seawolves have finally allowed the scoring of ALL DW platforms in their SSN division. In other words, you join SSN, and you can play any platform you like.

The only real restriction is that you need one sub per side for gameplay like this. So, so long as you have two subs...you can have as many other platforms you wish.

Seawolves also have a new website and scoreboard system.

Probably worth a look.

Just read the class quote (btw: it got pasted multiple times, thats why the quote is so long).

I read this
Quote:
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> the SC way is that you
click on every BB bearing repeatedly until you get a
tracker....
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> THEN.....then...you go to
NB to identify the tracker.....
<LTJG_Nexus7_FOO_3rd> ?
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> this game quirk works even
when you have no noticeable traces on BB
<LTKatsonis14th> ?
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> LTJG Nexus
<LTJGWayne69> the klicking technic
<LTJG_Nexus7_FOO_3rd> nothing you answered right after.
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> yes, the clicking technique
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> or BB scan as CAPT Sparks
calls it
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> LT Katsonsis
<LTKatsonis14th> I dive with Akula only it works there too?
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> yes, it works there too.....
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> so let me give you a
scenerio
<LTKatsonis14th> ThANKS
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> OPEN WATER
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> ENEMY is say 22 NM away
from you (but you don't know that)
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> no trace on BB, no trace on
NB
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> as far as you know, you are
alone
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> start clicking every
bearing.....from 0 to 359.....repedeately....until you get
a tracker assigned
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> check NB if you
can...(though you may not have a tonal)
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> go to DEMON and classify
your target from the DEMON
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> now for the BUT..........
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> BUT this quirk works for
one main reason
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> usually because both subs
are on the same side of the layer.....typically below it
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> in a few moments, once we
get to SSP, I'll show you how to play the game without
necessarily relying on this game quirk
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> i.e. how to actually see
the contact in NB
<LTJG_Apollo_3rd> ?
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> LTJG
<LTJG_Apollo_3rd> in an real submarine will the operator
also use this trick sir ?
<CDR_Blackjack_3rd_CTG2|SOAC-SC> no, this isn't a real sub
method....
That technic is really a slap in the face for gameplay...
Does anyone know if it works with LWAMI 203?
Secondly, are the SWs planning on using this great mod?

no it doesnt work for DW and we are now testing the LWAMI mod for use in SW.

I have never played SC mp before so i am just guessing about this. I think that maybe the ones using the click tecnic may have not had gamma set right and if they did then maybe they would have seen a contact that they marked with clicking every baring. So maybe it not as bad as it sounds

The clicking cheat was successfully eliminated in DW. The downside is that sometimes there's a broadband contact that is visible but can't have a tracker assigned; the mod actually makes this problem a bit worse. Still, a major improvement over SC.

No the mod just makes it *appear* worse, but the circumstances that create the problem are exactly as is in stock DW.

It actually resolves the issue to some degree, because you can assign a NB tracker to the target much sooner than otherwise.

That's the Obi Wan answer, btw... from a certain point of view.

Now that totally makes sense. Had probs not being able to assign a tracker to a faint signal in SA, and in the first place I thought its an issue with LWAMI and I keep bugging LuftWolf
But I remember the prob in stock DW as well, just not so regulary. Now since the SA got more sensible with LWAMI it makes sense that I more often have a signal I cant assign a tracker to. Thats also the reason why stuff sometiems shows up on SA before on TA.
