Trying to install S3D so can continue working on mods. When try to use the installer, receive a message saying I need to install .net framework version 2.0 I was taken to the website by S3D installer, it installed V9.0. I went to older versions. I found V2.0 but worried may cause other issues? Ideas? I'm lost lol. |

With Win11, you'll need to use the Windows Search by the Start button, and search on Windows Features, which opens the old Control Panel dialog for adding / removing Windows components. Once you have the dialog open, scroll to where you see ".NET Framework 3.5 (includes .Net 2.0 and 3.0)". On my laptop, it is at the top of the list. Put a tick mark in the box by it, but NOT the two below it (Windows Comm Foundation stuff). OK your way out of that, and it will "pause" and install the required components. It might ask you if your sure, and might also warn you about how dangerous it is to activate old tech...
![]() Once you have that, navigate back to the S3D installer, right click on it, and "Run as administrator", and you should be good to go - so long as you have DirectX v9.0c and the Codecs installed (which the SH4 installation should have done. What video card do you have in your computer? The newer Intel video cards (not so much the onboard) have some issues "interpreting" the DirectX v9 calls and might "stutter" somewhat...
