Default GWX - Knight's Cross Edition vs. NYGM Enhanced Steel Coffins edition

My question may seem stupid to some of you in this forum, but I have to ask it anyway because I simply don't have the time to test and compare. I have mainly played FiFi's NYGM Enhanced Steel Coffins edition and have hardly any contact with GWX - Knight's Cross Edition

What differentiates the two mods from each other in a direct comparison, without any additional small mods?

User interface in KC is gorgeous, thanks to VikingGrandad. Re-worked ship and plane models thanks to him and JU_88 (and others such as VonDos and IABL), along with optimized re-skinning etc. More harbor traffic, though Fifi has increased that traffic in the Steel Coffins mod. KC has a combined set of campaign files, such that you do not have to load the Med or Indian / Pacific Oceans, nor Black Sea separately. Both mods are great, and since KC comes with MultiSH3, there is no reason not to have both on the computer, with their own Save folders to segregate their data...

I've tried Knights Cross and Fifi's enhanced hardcore.
Knights Cross is rock solid, slick and has a great GUI. It looks and feels like a modern professionally released game.
NYGM has always had better passive hydrophone parameters for the escorts - I don't get the "laser guided" behaviour when my first eel strikes and I can move faster underwater closer to the escorts.

Not sure which I prefer, they are both great

At this point in their respective development, I prefer NYGM but, all that could change with the next patch for either one of them. I suppose I prefer NYGM right now as it feels more finished to me, and has SH3 Commander where GWX-KC does not at this point.

Yeah, the tweaks Fifi's NYGM has in many aspects of the simulation are outstanding and it feels both very realistic and right on the point for me. The environment and the graphics are also great. I really enjoy playing this mod.

In the other hand what I like of GWX KC is the fast loading times, the unified campaign, the GUI (outstanding) and the night lightning inside of the sub at night (no red lights).

I play both of them

And if anyone can come up with a mod for blue lights at night as in "Das Boot" that will be very cool.
