Default CO2 increasing on the surface

What the title says. I've taken no damage but CO2 has kept increasing on the surface after the last time submerged. Any ideas?

Shelling out to Windows can cause that, whether you do it purposefully or accidentally. But Windows itself will also pop-up an 'Update' at an inappropriate time. If such is the case, Save the game, exit the game, re-start the game, then load the Save. Hopefully, all will be well.

I did notice the update thing as well. By "shelling out to Windows," do you mean alt-tabbing?

Yes or hitting the windows key, anything automatically running in the back ground ect....Usually causes a CTD but also results like others said in weird behaviors like co2.
