Hello friends, I made some changes to the fantastic UI of GWX Knight's Cross Edition (v1.0) to adapt it more to my taste.
I have already shared with you some of those changes: the ones I could make modular. Now I have some other changes to share with you, but this time unfortunately this is an all-in pack as it contains changes that I am not able to split in an easy way as they need to push changes in some of the main config files. The modular stuff I already released is not included here (to avoid any kind of confusion). The only exception is that this is not compatible with my big-compass header fix mod (already included here) as it changes a file that is also modified here. So, let's go to the point: What does this pack include? - 3 Fancy disks whose names I don't know even how to pronounce (all the credit to Ahnenerbe WideGui, I just made them bigger and tweaked the labels of one of them). Two of them are attached to the navigator orders and the AOB disk to the sonar/hydrophone orders so you need to select the navigator or the hydrophone menu for them to show up. - Binocular screen changed (7x binoculars now) - The TDC is fixed in the attack map screen (I use the TDC a lot but I don't use the attack map for anything so...). Download it here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/0bofp...s_Pack.7z/file Screenshots: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cheers!! |

No, unfortunately the binoculars also require changes in menu_1024_768.ini, and that file contains also the other changes. One thing you can do is to get the G27 section (binoculars) of my modified menu.ini and take it to your menu.ini, that should work. |

One of them is the reverse of the Attack Disk, you can do a lot of calculations with it. There's a pdf manual around here somewhere in the forum. For the other two take a look here: https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=255869 |

Another great addition, much appreciated!
Now, just to have the TDC controls on the attack and night scopes so we never have to use the attack map, like in GWX3.0 with Ahnernerbe / OneAlex etc. ![]() |

TDC controls are available on all optics screens, via a quick click on the weapons officer icon - so no need to use the F6 attack map / TDC screen if you prefer to not use it: ![]() (above is a preview of the new version which also includes the spread angle dial ![]()

![]() Well, having to go back to the TDC to input the target data does not bother me and it is kind of immersive for me. I just needed the TDC to be fixed in the screen and not slide out for that to feel good for me (I guess that is Fifi's fault ![]() Anyway I understand your point, maybe someone steps forward and makes some arrangement for that; but in this case, for the reasons I explained, it won't be me. That looks very good. I am looking forward to the next release ![]() Just a suggestion: as the spread angle is part of the torpedo config, which is already in the scope panel in the right I would suggest to position the dial next to the salvo selector in that panel and probably make smaller the notepad to make some room. That way it keeps the logic that the target data inputs are in the upper slide panel and the torpedo configuration inputs are in the right scope panel. Cheers!! ![]() |
