Default bug found reported

Hi.
Due to me doing a project for flight sim i have not played UBOAT since all the updates , yesterday i decided to take a break from programing for my project of doing a ww2 radio nav receiver R1155 and during my training in type 2a on torpedo training leaving port wilhemshaven after a saved game , i noticed a man walking in the air , this has been reported , also i noticed what i think would make a good mod the crew report when at periscope depth for observation , it would be a nice touch if they reported if it was clear to surface or not .

Hi Hans,

yes it would actually be fine if the voices of the crew would also include a 'free for surface' statement. But because the officers also work as navigators, they would plot any contact on the map so all you have to do before surfacing is looking at the map to see fit. This if you don't change the numerous game settings.
Looking at the map is not exactly the same of course, it takes longer, but it will work to tell you if it's safe to surface.

Also: If there are any contacts during their periscope check they would tell so with a message (Ship ID if known + bearing). That should mean: No message = Safe to surface.

Greetings

Hi XenonSurf
I agree that what you say is ok with ships , but would not for aircraft , observation periscope can too a limited degree check for aircraft.

Have you unlocked it in the Privileges section? You must do that before being able to leave port without misisons. (Costs 1 rep point).

I restarted a brand new campaign, but I talked to the leading officer, selected the mission and I can't command any speed. It tells me that I need to select a mission.

Other than taking the mission (are you sure? Is your objective / patrol zone to reach displayed on the upper right? If not, you haven't taken any mission), other than that you must fully equip your sub first, replenish fuel, torpedos etc. If all is done you go to slow speed or half speed which will leave the port on auto-set waypoints.
