Default Is it possible to run Sub Command at all in 2024?

Ahoy there!

I bought Sub Command on Steam about a 100 years ago and got it to run then. After doing the Mac and console thing for a few years Im back to the gaming computer with Windows 11.

I really wanted to play Sub Command again, but I cannot get it to work properly. Firstly the game is not properly sized, but I can live with that. Secondly the mouse cursor is stuck on screen with an invisible mouse cursor in the background.

What I have tried so far:
1. run as administrator and setting compatibility mode.

2. Change software mouse cursor value in .ini-file to "Yes".

3. Change resolution value in .ini- file from 1 to 3.

4. Downloaded some dll file I don't remember the name of right now.

I was able to get Dangerous Water to run eventually, albeit with it filling only part of the screen, but that's ok, I'll just sit closer. But I really want to get SC to run again!

Thanks!
